From somebody that loves writing, loves training, loves learning, loves psychology, loves business, loves sales and rarely suffers from writers block; simply because there’s always something to say… this section is weirdly difficult to write!
My name is Heidi and my understated background has been; well ‘varied’ would be an understatement.
For the past 14 years I have been lucky enough to be part of the very inspiring and creative industry of HAIR! From hands on; considering myself at one stage an extensions and treatments specialist to working with various brands regionally and nationally in Sales and Education until deciding I was ready to retire and in my usual dramatic manner; even moved to the coast! Retirement for me didn’t last very long as I fairly swiftly returned to manage one of the most talented teams I’ve ever been lucky enough to meet let alone lead to work with what I consider the most exciting brands the industry has ever seen!
What most people in the Industry don’t realise is before having my son and joining this amazing industry; I lived a very corporate life. From Pensions to Finance to Commodity Trading, to Electronics, to Magazines, to advertising to even working within the world of shipping! From Sales to Training to becoming a Commercial Director.. Who’d have thought it given my foul mouth!
The reason for my industry HOPPING was mainly due to my tendency to bore quickly and my huge greed for knowledge. I became determined to prove that when it comes to building relationships, communication, understanding ‘people’, training, education, sales and business.. there are certain strategies that are non-discriminatory.
So based on this fact I decided to start this blog to share some of my learnings; Less Frazzle, More Focus because you never know when you might just be three feet from Gold!
